This page explains what happens to your information if you sign up to the Ryan Sheridan mailing list, or otherwise use this website. It's written in plain terms - if anything's unclear, email xandyltd@gmail.com and we'll explain further.

Who's responsible for your data

X&Y Productions LTD (contactable at xandyltd@gmail.com) is the data controller for this site and mailing list - the company that decides what's collected and why.

What we collect, and why

The only personal information this website collects is through the mailing list signup form. When you subscribe, we store:

• Your email address - so we can send you the emails you signed up for (new music, tour dates, and updates).
• The date you signed up.
• Your general location (country, and sometimes city) - worked out automatically from your IP address at the moment you sign up, not asked for directly. This lets us send region-relevant news, like letting people near a gig know about it, instead of emailing everyone about every show regardless of where they are. We don't store your IP address itself, only the country/city it maps to.

We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking scripts on this site. Nothing is collected just from browsing - only if you actively submit the signup form.

Legal basis

We only add you to the mailing list, and only process the information above, because you gave clear consent by ticking the box and submitting the signup form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your rights" below) - it doesn't affect anything before the withdrawal.

Who else sees it

Your data isn't sold or shared for advertising. It passes through two services that help run this site and send the emails:

• Netlify - hosts the website and stores the contact list securely.
• Amazon SES (AWS) - the service actually used to send the emails.

Both are processors acting on our instructions, not independent users of your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, it's removed from the active mailing list.

Your rights

Under GDPR (and equivalent laws), you can:

• Ask what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information entirely.
• Withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time - every email has an unsubscribe link, or email us directly.
• Complain to your country's data protection authority if you think we've handled your information incorrectly.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes meaningfully, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
